I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lucid Software in Sep 2018
Interview
Easy Hacker rank challenge.
20 min background phone interview with engineering director who was polite and understanding.
1hr technical video interview without much interaction.
1hr optimisation video interview with two senior SE , focus is on gaming logic rather than algorithms.
1hr class design and background video interview with a Senior SE and manager.
The manager started with a simple class design question to which I answered according to the requirements. Later he gave his solution which just made my simple class complex without any functional additions which was confusing But I guess he was trying to relate it to their application's code re-usability through inheritance which dint make any sense for this situation.I was able to figure out that its a reject by the way he reacted at the end of the interview.
Nearly two weeks later he mails me on a Saturday evening asking for 15 min window and calls in the night to say that it's a reject. Maybe he was trying to be nice but the way he did it seemed unethical, a simple reject mail would have done a better job.
I'm sure he was the only person in the hiring panel who was against hiring me cause rest liked me as I was coming up with solutions without them giving me any hints.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Lucid Software (Charleston, SC) in Nov 2025
Interview
The interview process starts with a pre-screen interview via CodeSignal involving testing general coding framework skills. This is followed by a virtual coding interview. followed by a final four interviews involving algorithms and class modeling.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
60 minute technical exercise on algorithms (Big-O, optimizations)
60 minute technical exercise on class modeling
I interviewed at Lucid Software (South Jordan, UT)
Interview
The first round was an online coding problem similar to leetcode. The second round was an online interview with a software developer where you code a game for them and the review it with you
The first round was a coding interview, two warm up questions with the last one being a medium (BFS). Second round was much harder questions with design questions towards the end.
