Interview
The most extensive job interview I’ve ever done to talk to the most dry people. The interview consisted of a phone screening, slideshow deck submission for approval to grant you a zoom interview. Looking back I learned from this experience - what an absolute waste of time. I interviewed with 5 different people who asked generic robotic questions, it never once felt like a conversation or like they cared about questions you may have for the company as well. This place gives me toxic vibes all the way.
A short call with a recruiter, then an assignment. Not much direction on the assignment, and the person that interviewed me sounded like they lacked experience in their role. My background did not indicate I was a web designer, yet their critique of my presentation was that it lacked design. For an unpaid assignment, that's asking a lot especially before even speaking to a hiring manager or person on the team aside from a recruiter. It felt like they were just looking for business ideas from people, in my opinion.
