I was contacted for a phone interview which I thought went really well. I could tell that the manager was young and enthusiastic and he seemed like a great person to work with. He showed interest in my previous experience and gave me an honest outline of the role saying that it was still being shaped as they just recently acquired an office in the Denver area. I was then asked to go in for an in-person interview at one of their onboarding events. I was interviewed by two managers, both the gentleman I spoke to on the phone and another female employee. The questions were not difficult and I felt confident and excited about the opportunity. I brought up a concern about the schedule as the days off would be Friday and Sunday. I asked if that was negotiable because I thought it may be difficult to not have my days off consecutive. I felt like the female manager got very defensive about me even questioning this and it felt like me asking the question ruined my chance of being considered. I received an email 10 days later that they were moving forward with other candidates.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time you had to deal with an unhappy customer. How did you handle the situation?
Three step process: phone interview with a recruiter, video interview with someone in the actual office, and in-person interview. Lyft is clearly very committed to their brand and looking for hires who will be content to stay in their new role for a year+ before promotion
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (Santa Ana, CA) in Oct 2019
Interview
They were very thorough in their interview process to determine the best possible fit for their company. I understand the necessity of them making sure they adequately selected the best candidate. The process of the experience was a little more lengthy than I have ever gone through, but I feel it will leave me well equipped with what is to come with this Lyft!

Question 1
How would you handle a situation where a driver kept getting put off by different Community Associates.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (Indianapolis, IN)
Interview
5 interviews total in 5 weeks. Took a while but all the people were pleasant to speak with. First over the phone with recruiter, then over video with direct supervisor, then over phone with some sort of regional coordinator, then in-person with direct supervisor again, then over video with regional manager. Each interview was about 15-20 minutes and all almost identical conversations. Mostly just get-to-know-you and your previous work experience/skills.
