I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MAQ Software (Redmond, WA) in Sep 2024
Interview
I gave my interview 2 months back and the interview process seemed very unprofessional. After my screening call, I had a Founder's call with the CEO and he seemed very disinterested in whatever I had to say. They wanted to keep my next loop of interviews on a Saturday because their interviewers were on leave after that. I was called on-site in-person
for 2 back to back interviews that were supposed to last for 40 mins each but lasted for 1.5 hours each. I was already exhausted with the 3 hour long interview process when I was told a third interview will also happen on the same day. Initially, it was supposed to happen on a separate day. I was there for close to 5 hours and they did not reimburse me for my travel there. In the interviews, they grilled me based on my resume and went into unnecessary detail that had nothing to do with the role. The role and jd itself is just so vague that they just want to interview the candidate based on every skill he has ever learnt in this life. It looked like they did not know what they were looking for. They wanted to ask me everything from my DS experience to quizzing me on the tools I had used (in-depth) to my irrelevant experiences to Excel to Power BI. I believe the interviews should have been crisp and to the point, just test on whatever skills are required for the role.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at MAQ Software (Noida)
Interview
It was a fairly straightforward process that included a data structures and algorithms (DSA) based live coding round followed by an HR interview. Both rounds were of medium to difficult level, but I was able to successfully clear them.
3 rounds of interview , very unprofessional interviews by the Founders. The last interview is taken by the Founder and the person was nothing but condescending , would never choose to work here, they will not re-imburse your travel expenses for the onsite interviews , that should give you a picture of the work culture there
