Applied, received a panel video interview. 2 of the panelists did not show up and the last one was about 8 minutes late. I was then asked to do a free assessment for their website SEO, which I had five days to do. I did it within an hour. I did not receive an acknowledgement that they received it. I followed up at 7 days, 14 days, and 21 days after. The first two were no response so I felt ghosted by the company after offering up free work. The last, I looped in the other panelists who did not show. This garnered a response -- an apology and statement that they would follow up with an update by the end of the week. That came and went without a peep, so, I followed up again on Monday, on what would be a month after interviewing for what I was told would be a two week and quick hiring process, to an immediate rejection. Overall, this was a terrible experience. I am sure I did not get the position because I followed up each time they missed a deadline that they set themselves, hence, retaliatory. Ultimately this made me lose interest in the position and company. This company's interview process made me feel unappreciated and exploited for free labor.
