I got an email from my recruiter roughly 2 months after applying and had a phone screen with my manager. Then I had an official interview split into a technical, behavioral, and department head meeting. I've heard it varies from team to team though.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at MITRE in Mar 2026
Interview
It was 2 rounds. The first was a phone interview with one of the department leads. Basically just a resume deep-dive. Second round I had to present a technical project to 2 people. They asked follow up questions about the project and then some more basic behavioral/technical questions about other things on my resume.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MITRE (McLean, VA) in Feb 2025
Interview
Since it was a early-college level internship, there was only a phone screen and follow-up behavioral, which was around 40-60 minutes for the latter, with all types of typical interview questions (biggest problem you've faced, etc etc) coming at you, from a project director.
