Interview
5 Webex Calls with the cross-functional team across the globe. I was the only external candidate among 4 or 5 being evaluated. After these 5 extensive, and quite positive, conversations, (2 of which with the hiring manager in Pennsylvania) i was told to expect a decision the following week. When I did not hear back, I sent follow-up mails to the talent acquisition person, 1 and 4 weeks after the date where I should have heard back. A couple of days after the second mail I received an anonymous mail that I had been unsuccessful at this time. No call, no personal communication, no debrief. Embarrassing for Merck Corp.

Each interviewer had a list of fairly standard behavioural interview questions („tell me about a time when...“) before entering a more personal conversation. The structured part of the interview seems to be a standard element provided by Talent Acquisition.
