My first interview was a phone interview with the Director of the department I would be working in. I did not speak to HR except through emails to set up the meetings. The meeting went well with the director, and he set up a call for me 3 days later with 2 members of the team the position was under. This meeting also went well, as they covered things like company culture, what a typical day looks like, etc. I am told that I will hear back within the next week, and when I do not hear anything at all, I attempt to follow up with HR. No returned calls, no replies to my emails. Finally 4 weeks later, I get a response from HR saying they'll follow up with the director, but that was now over 2 weeks ago. Extremely unprofessional for a company to not simply say they're pursuing other candidates after two interviews.
