Odd. Five 30 minute remote interviews with various titles of VP, and one director. It was not clear who the position was reporting to. Asked and received several different answers. Never received clear answers about what the work day would entail. Mostly given the last few minutes to ask questions. They often asked questions that were IT, but not specific to the role almost trying to gain best practices through the interviews. These were TEAMs video calls where all except the last interviewer came on the video the last few minutes so these were either like phone calls or you on video and they were not. Highly unorthodox and uncomfortable. I thought perhaps it was a scam of sorts, but I am pretty sure that is how they handle remote interviews for that role. Recruiters were pleasant. A merger was in progress, and I gather that there is a hiring spree as one of them said. Came across as they were all stressed out. After we the 5th interview and the one with me only on video, they contacted me to say they chose someone else. It was prompt. I was already uncomfortable with them so this came as a relief not to keep considering them. The pay suggested at the first call kept me interested.
