The interview process was great, albeit a bit long. The company does several rounds of interviews, which is excessive especially when they don't plan on offering you the job. My biggest complaint is that they assured me they'd be in touch soon, then ghosted me for months. Only on the second try to follow up did I get a response and learn the position I'd interviewed for twice was filled. Yikes.
Interviewed with two Editors and completed a readers report to demonstrate by analytical skills, as well as ability to write creative copy. I then interviewed with the publisher. Following those interviews, I was offered the job.
The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Macmillan (New York, NY) in Mar 2019
Interview
Submitted app and I got contacted by the editors themselves to meet them for an interview. It was very casual! At the end they asked me to read a manuscript.
