Very casual interview, people were friendly but didn't seem to connected to business or understand how to explain the structure of the organization. They were all nice but did not seem excited.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
Process was fairly easy. I had a phone interview with the recruiter followed by a second phone interview with the hiring manager. About a week later I came in for the in-person interview. I did two interviews with team members, an interview with the hiring manager, then a final interview with the department head. It was a very standard interview process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Several situational questions - "Tell me about a time when you did XYZ" or "Have you been in a situation where you did XYZ and how did you handle it?" Most of the interview questions were directly related to my direct experience in similar positions as they want to make sure you are very qualified for the role. I believe I would have gotten the position if not for candidates who had a little more retail experience.
