I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (Saint Louis, MO) in Jan 2011
Interview
I interviewed during the Sales Supervisor/Sales Manager hiring fair. I had previously made contacts within the company and it turned out that one of my interviewers was one of my contacts, thus making the interview more comfortable (though certainly not easier).
The interviewer has a set of questions that they are "required" to ask you, and they go down the list. The key to a successful interview is to use the STAR method (situation, task, action, result). The questions are all behavioral, so the interviewer is looking for examples of your past real-life situations. Do not ramble on in the answer, get to the point.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (Toms River, NJ) in Nov 2019
Interview
I applied online for the position and was contacted by a HR representative within a couple of days. The interview process was fairly easy and was asked the usual questions regarding your work history.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Macy's (South Portland, ME) in Mar 2019
Interview
Great approach, very nice and personable. Questionnaire was used, but it was actually relaxing and fun. I appreciated the friendliness. It was a lot about experience, customer service and why you would like to work for Macy;s.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (Daly City, CA) in Apr 2017
Interview
Very casual if you're being interviewed inhouse. It was more or a less do u want the position or not question. After saying yes it was basically a formality at that point.
