I applied online, missed a call a few days later, and got an email to call back for a phone interview. They called the next day, I thought for the interview, but then set up an in-person interview at the store, which I set up online. It was confusing, but I was relieved because I prefer in-person interviews. The manager was friendly. While I waited, I heard managers complaining that the seasonal workers that had already been hired could only work evenings. Luckily, I wanted days. She asked me five situational questions and then for my availability. I was pretty nervous, so I don't think I did great, but it didn't seem to matter as long as my availability was good. She hired me on the spot, but told me I wouldn't start for another month, a few days before Thanksgiving. The pay was lower than I thought, $8.50/hour, but it seems like I'll be able to pick up extra hours easily.
