i applied for a retail sales associate online, a "flexible time schedule" was also added with the opening so i went ahead and applied. 3 days later i got an email for an interview and scheduled it for next friday. when i got to macy's i met my interviewer and she took me to her office. she left to retrieve my paperwork while i waited. when she returned she immediately asked me about my time availability, especially since i'm in college. i said i have morning classes so i would be able to work like afternoons and night shifts but i also suggested that since school was ending soon, that i would be able in the mornings and also on the weekends( which is really important). so then she asked me: "why i wanted to work at macy's?" "the last time i worked on a team and succeeded."how would i celebrate a purchase." "how would introduce a customer to the macy's reward program" "how would i sell a pair of jeans." etc. she didn't really give me much eye contact and just basically wrote down whatever i said. overall it went really well, i was a little nervous though but we laughed together and she was a really nice lady. after the interview she told me i would receive an email in two weeks. i'm assuming i didn't get the job since most people here got hired on the spot.
