Found this job listing on career builder. Took the time to completely fill the pre-interview questions. The questions were mostly about background and interests and education. You must also fill out the personality test. This was very detailed and must have taken me 20 to 30 minutes to fill out. Then I uploaded my resume and cover letter. About 3 or 4 days later I received an email saying they had reviewed my application and wanted to set up an interview. I was given a choice of day/time to select. But once you select a day and time don't change it as they may not have another open date for sometime. The interview was not at all hard. The woman who interviewed me was very nice. The questions were basic and many of them were the same questions from the online application. Questions like: "What is your background"? "Why do you want to work here"? "What would you do if you saw someone violating a company policy"? The interview lasted about 30 minutes. The interviewer told me about the working conditions. Very typical conditions for retail work. Standing for hours at a time. Lifting, bending,stooping. Working on holidays, overtime, nighttime hours etc. The only negative to this entire process came at the end of the interview. She told me that right now the store had only two openings and both were in the cosmetics department. Too bad I did not think fast enough I would have said: "Even tho I am a Male, I can sell anything and I believe I can sell cosmetics to your female customers"! The other thing that was slightly irritating was that they don't seem to save any of the information you fill out on line or the interview. You must, she told me, start from scratch if you want to apply for another position.
