I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2013
Interview
I applied online, and they emailed me 3 days later. I went in for my interview the following week. The woman interviewing me seemed nice at first-until we got into the interview room. It was really dim, and the ambiance wasn't welcoming at all. She asked me questions off a piece of paper and barely even looked at me. The questions were very typical, "why do you want to work here?" "If a customer came in and wanted to buy a pair of pants, what would you do?" I left the interview not feeling so good because I could tell they had already made their hires. When I walked in another person was already filling out her new employment paperwork, and the girl I walked in with at the same time was just looking for a location transfer. However, they did call me back 3 weeks later and asked me to interview again. It was with a different manager and she was so sweet. Honestly, this interview felt much better than my last, and I felt like I was talking to a friend! She basically offered me the job, and I start next week.

Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
