I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Macy's (Washington, DC) in Oct 2019
Interview
I had an online interview with 2 employees of Macy's that lasted about an hour 20 minutes. My first was with an Operations Manager, who was 2 years out of the EDP program. Some typical interview questions, but more informal and relaxed. My second interview was with a store manager. This was more formal with tougher leadership/weakness questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
When was a time you had to deal with someone that was not happy with the current situations and you?
The interview process was lengthy but very conversational. I think there were 3-5 rounds. There was also a technical interview for your specific function that you took online in a closed browser.
It was easy. Just be yourself and don’t overthink it. First was a 15 min screening call over the phone. Then a 45 min zoom call with another individual. Questions related to past experience and how you deal with certain situations.
There were 3 rounds. The first is just an hr screening. You then have to take 2 exams for the second round. After the exams there is one final round. The process was very straightforward.
