I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Macy's (Buffalo, NY) in Oct 2013
Interview
Recommended for position by store manager since a friend works as a sales manager. Submitted resume and interest form and was interviewed by the Hiring Manager several days later. Offered the job on the spot and returned for several days of training. Spent two days with a sales manager and gaining an understanding of dynamics between associates, customers, and the support team so that when I finally was on my own for the role I was able to answer customer and associate questions without having to refer to another member of management.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Macy's (Roseville, MN) in Nov 2012
Interview
Applied online. Was sent an email to schedule an interview. Went to the interview and was asked some "what would you do if...." questions as well as, "how would you handle..." It was pretty straight forward. I was offered the job on the spot.
