Question 1
Describe a time where you were in a difficult situation at work.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Macy's (Schaumburg, IL) in Nov 2018
Interview
First you will interview will Macy's, if they like you, you will then interview with the Origins district manager for the position. My interview with Macy's was in person, while the Origins interview was over the phone.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Macys By Mail, CT) in Sep 2014
Interview
Filled out an application online, within a few days was asked to schedule an interview with cosmetics manager, met with her, asked very general customer service questions.. Very big on selling Macys cards.. Discussed availability. She and I got along very well so she told me that she was sending me along to the talent plus interview.. She told me it was going to be a 30-45 minute phone call and that I would be unable to read the person who was conducting the interview as they are coached to give no cues as to how the interviews are going. During the talent plus interview, their computer system was down and because of this the woman I spoke to just had to do an interview asking me the questions off of a paper (the old fashioned way as she worded it) once again very basic questions trying to gage your ability I handle customer service issues.. The best advice I have is to read all the talent plus questions and write your own response to all of them to prepare yourself so you have some sort of direction when talking. Don't feel weird about pausing to think before speaking, there will be long pauses and it is nothing to do with you personally, they are logging your response. After this interview I was scheduled to do an interview with the ae (account executive) for Origins. We met at a Starbucks and she asked me to tell her about myself and asked about my customer service skills.. Asked if I had any questions( your time to shine) I asked her what she thought it took to become a successful sales person, what opportunities there were for advancement within the company.. After that a few days later the cosmetics manager called me and offered me the position
