      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Macy's

      Interview

Arrived at the interview but they were not prepared for me. They had to call in a different woman who was a cashier lead to interview me. It lasted about 10 minutes and I thought it went well. She said they were hiring many people at the time, so they would get back to me about the job. Received an email about 4 days later saying that I didn't get the job and that I could apply in the future. I was very disappointed especially because about a week after my rejection I saw a posting for the same job position open again.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Concord, CA) in Jun 2014

      Interview

I applied for the job the night before I got two emails inviting me to come interview with Macy's/Bloomingdales and to schedule an interview. I got there and someone else had my interview time slot as well, which was strange to me. I was mostly prepared for the interview but there were like 3 pages worth of questions and I wasn't prepared for ALL of those...so, the interview ended, she asked my availability, told me about the points system and also that the position for shoes was filled... but asked me if there was anywhere in particular I would prefer to work. I told her I was flexible and could manage working in just about any department I was needed... and after all that, I still didn't get the job. I was informed by e-mail I didn't get it the next day.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Frisco, TX) in Apr 2014

      Interview

From Macy's website, I applied for job which takes at the least 30 minutes, because of a lengthy personality questionnaire. Next day, I received email to set up time and day for interview. At Macy's I applied for Women's Shoes, but the Manager for the Men's department interviewed me. He did not have much of a personality, and just asked me 30 minutes of questions he was reading off the "interview" pack. Then after we finished all of the question and answer business, he said he was going to find the women's shoes manager. After waiting another15 minutes, she sowed up, and we just nicely chatted about life. Apparently I already had the job, she just had to make the formality of speaking to me.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

It was just a whole lot of "what would you do" type of questioning. Such as how to finish a sale, how to increase a sale, how to convince a customer to purchase, how to handle a theft..etc..etc..etc..
