i showed up greeted by 2 interviewers they reviewed my availability asked me questions about my current job and how many hrs im currently working. they explained that it was a lot of work and early shifts, asked if i was still interested. they moved on to asking me questions, the 1st was why macy's? what do you think of the way macy's men's department is setup? what would you change? do you work well in a team? how do u react to having to work with someone who is working slow? if you were told to go stock mens shirts but were in the middle of stocking blenders what would you do? what would you do if you saw someone doing something that wasnt appropriate? after they asked me all their questions they excused themselves from the room to have a discussion on the interview, they came back in and extended an offer of employment to me, they gave me some paperwork and told me there would be a background check that should take 48 hrs the starting pay is 9/hr but 8/hr for the training on the computer. not guaranteed a certain amount of hrs a week asked if i wanted the job i accepted. they told me i would be contacted after the background check to bring in id's and proof of ability to work in the states, no mention of drug test. there is an orientation that i will need to attend but can start work before the orientation.
