I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's in Oct 2014
Interview
The hiring and interview process was very quick and easy. They were interested in hiring a lot of people for the holiday season so they hired about everyone that walked in. Their training on the computer was very good, but when you got to the floor, the sales associates were very distant. I believe this is due to the commission structure and they really want new people to fail. It is not a friendly environment between sales associates and the management team doesn't seem to want to fix the problem. Killed the job for me.

The first interview is on the HireVue website. I was asked 6 questions. I recorded my voice responses. Later, I was told I passed the first round via a phone call from a company that conducts the second interview process. I was asked 2 questions. The last interview is in-person.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
