I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Macy's (San Antonio, TX) in May 2015
Interview
I applied through Macy's online application and received an email within 48 hours stating they wanted an interview with me. They ask you to schedule the interview though their scheduling system. I went in for my 1st interview on a Saturaday. The interview is fairly easy if you do your research on what type of questions they like to ask. I was asked a total of about 5/6 questions and she loved most of my answers, especially the one about the Macy's credit card. She was very welcoming and extremely nice. Once the interview was complete, she asked me 3 questions: (1) When is your availability? (2) Which departments are you interested in? (3) Are looking for full time or part time? So just make sure you are prepared. She then told me she would check for availability to see what was open. ( I really wanted the shoe department!!) However, there were only positions open in the Handbag department, which I was okay with as well. She then set me up for a 2nd interview with the manager of that particular department on a Monday. That manager asked me about 3 questions, mostly about customer service and why I wanted to work for Macy's. Again be prepared for a lot of customer service questions and do your research. That interview went well and I was hired on the spot!

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
