I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's in Oct 2023
Interview
Simple behavioral questions based on retail and customer service. The interview process was quick and got an email around a week later with an offer. I started in August and got the offer last October.
Very pleasant and professional interview; one hour divided into two 30 min. meetings with a recruiter and current manager, respectively. Behavioral questions/resume walk-through, followed by case study and situational questions.

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (Atlanta, GA) in Sep 2007
Interview
It was a typical behavioral interview, geared towards communications and people skills. There were two half hour interviews. The interviewers were very laid back and friendly. I felt no pressure at all speaking with them. Of course, this is the typical attitude here, since it's a customer service oriented industry. Be sure to use the word "outstanding" a lot.
