Interview
Super easy and relaxed interview. Met with hiring manager and chatted casually outside of the store about the role and my relevant work experience. Was offered the position on the spot.
1 interview. Super straightforward, asking you behavioral and situational questions. Asking questions like how do you multitask during the holiday season? Can you share an experience where you dealt with a unhappy customer?

I worked at another retail store before this so something they asked me was more towards that experience.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Madewell (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2021
Interview
I applied for a permanent PT job. A store manager personally called me for a one on one interview within a week. We scheduled the interview for the next day.
The personal touch of calling candidates to schedule an interview set Madewell apart and I thought more highly of them from the start. I was happy to have a one on one interview too. Throughout the whole interview process Madewell became a place I sincerely wanted to work.
I was happy to see every member of the store wearing masks securely when I entered. I felt safe and liked that there was a sign on the dore requiring masks. The ladies at the register let the manager know I was there.
It was a lovely socially distant interview outside. Very conversation based and applicable experience.
The interviewer I felt was excellent. She was communicative answered questions and led a very informative interview for her and me. We discussed hours, store vibe/environment, and overall really fantastic interview.
I genuinely enjoyed the interview and think ever more positively of the store because of the manager and overall interview process.
