Interview
Applied for a position on LinkedIn in Feb 2023, next day one of their recruiters reached out to me for my availability to schedule an initial interview. I replied with my time slots and did not hear back in days. Next week I saw they reposted the position so I applied again, wondering if they were too busy to schedule my interview. Next day I received an completely identical email from the same recruiter asking for my availability, like it was auto generated but anyway I finally got a respond from her after that and a set date and time of a Google meet with her. Exciting right? That morning I called in the Google meet through the link she shared, waited in the virtual lobby for someone to join and let me in. Guess what, nobody EVER showed up. I tried 5 times and waited 30 minutes, no one else ever joined the meeting. I emailed the recruiter asking if we need to reschedule and never got a reply, other than a rejection letter weeks later. Is this even a legit recruitment? Or just a fake hire to sponsor your employee’s green card? What kind of company doesn’t show up to their own scheduled interview? At least let me know and cancel if you cannot make it or have found someone else? It’s already a very rough market, have some respect and curtesy to each other please..
