I had four interviews plus a take home assignment over the course of two months. The take home assignment said it should take me three hours, but I ended up spending twelve hours on it. This was unpaid time for a proposed marketing plan for a particular segment. Three or four weeks passed after I submitted the take home assignment and I didn't hear anything despite two follow ups. When I finally heard back from the recruiter I was told they were trying to figure out whether or not the role should be remote or in-office, and which team the role should be on (sales or marketing), and to not wait around for them.
