A recruiter from MSG reached out to me on LinkedIn regarding an opportunity with the organization. After corresponding with the recruiter, a virtual interview with several members of the MSG team, including the hiring manager, was scheduled. When I asked, MSG was not willing to provide salary information or logistics regarding their timeline for hiring and onboarding prior to the interview.
I joined the virtual interview using the link MSG provided and arrived prior to the scheduled interview start time. I waited on the call for 10 minutes past the scheduled start time, however, no one from MSG joined the call. Before logging out, I emailed the MSG staff on the invite about the issue and asked them to let me know if they needed to reschedule. After 24 hours, the only reply I received from anyone at MSG was an out-of-date automatic reply from the hiring manager saying she would return to work on a date that already passed.
The lack of professionalism or basic respect for my time as a candidate is beyond disappointing. Unfortunately, I can only assume this experience is indicative of how MSG treats their employees as well. If you are considering an opportunity with this organization, you may want to think again.
