30 minute phone call with a recruiter who wasn’t sure about half of the requirements or what to ask but said I sounded qualified for the job. She asked me what I would be looking for salary wise and I told her what I currently made. She said she wasn’t sure if my experience was enough to earn that amount there. I told her I’d be open to negotiation if it was the right fit otherwise. We were very conversational and I though things went well. She said I sounded like I had the right mix of experience they were looking for but wasn’t sure on the salary still. However she said she wanted to schedule for me to come in. I followed up that evening thanking her for her time- no response. Then a week later asked for an update on the position- no response. Finally, I emailed one last time just asking for feedback on my interview so I could understand their direction better- no response. Ghosted me and offended me. Not the kind of quality of professionalism you’d expect from Mariner at all. Very disappointed. Even if I wasn’t a fit or salary was too high for their budget- they should have informed me, especially after saying they were wanting to have me in to interview in person. Left a bad taste in my mouth about who they are.
