First interview was via recorded answers. Second and final interview was with 3 individuals who were lovely but it was very clear that this role had already been filled and this was a curtesy interview--they told me nothing about the job, nor asked any questions related to how I could perform the job

Describe a time you had a conflict with a manager.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mars (Calgary, AB) in Aug 2024
Interview
First interview by phone with the recruiter the sweetest person, Second interview with the panel by teams- mostly situational questions. I was prepared: I set a background with the Royal Canin products and conducted market research in different pet stores as part of my preparation, I presented strong answers well matched with my experience at shelters and previous sales experience. In the end, I received a call telling me: that vacancy shall be filled by an internal candidate. I understand companies needs to interview different candidates even they had an internal applicant . But , at the same time will be amazing to clarify to the external candidates if even with this situation- they are willing to participate. It felt as a waste a time , effort, for both parties.
Longer but fair. It wasn't super tough, but does require patience to get through. I didn't really mind the process. It was reasonable. Had to do an interview with multiple managers.
