I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mars & Co (Greenwich, CT) in Mar 2011
Interview
I applied through my college's Careers site, submitting only my resume I believe. I heard back within perhaps two-three weeks of applying. We set up a phone interview by e-mail.
It started on time, and I spoke with a human resources representative. It was a general behavioral interview, with questions concerning my interest in management consulting, my knowledge of the company, and why I would be a good fit. It was good that I had researched the company in advance. The total interview lasted about half an hour. At the end, the interviewer warned me that future rounds would of course include case interviews, for which candidates would do well to prepare.
About a week later I received a standard-worded e-mail denying my application.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Mars & Co (New York, NY) in Dec 2024
Interview
Fairly straightforward. 30 minute screening call followed by a 3 hour superday with cases and behavioral questions. The interviewers were all personable and on the younger side. There were no senior-level interviewers.

Question 1
Why do you want to work at Mars as opposed to other strategy firms?
Behavioral interview. Questions asked: why consulting? why Mars & Co? Tell me about a time when... what are you looking for in your next role? The first step is a 20 minute screening call.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mars & Co (New York, NY) in Sep 2024
Interview
3 hour ‘Superday’ with 2 partners and an analyst. 2/3 were casing interviews. Was pretty good - not your typical framework case model sounded a bit made up on the spot was pretty good.
