I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Marshalls (Miami, FL) in Mar 2009
Interview
Hiring usually happens before the holidays. Store Management does an on the spot interview and decides to hire you on the spot. Interviews are casual and are not very difficult. They usually ask you about your work history, and your experience with customers. For new hires, they prefer people with no prior retail experience. Why? So you can learn the Marshalls way first.

Application
I applied online. I interviewed at Marshalls (Greeneville, TN) in Aug 2025
Interview
I applied on Indeed and was called to schedule an interview. I was kept waiting, and while the interview was in progress I was scheduled for a second interview which took place a few weeks later. Flash forward over a month later I have yet to receive any feedback, a rejection email, or any logical explanation why I was completely ghosted despite my attempts to stay in touch. This isn't the first time this has happened either. Do not waste your time hoping you will be hired here.

Interview
Simple interview, no hard questions. Was very to the point and situational. I interviewed with the store manager and she was very nice. She asked for my goals and I think wanting to grow within the company made me stand out.

Interview
I visited in-store, spoke with the hiring manager, then applied online. I was called within a few days for an interview with the store manager. The interview was friendly and conversational; we discussed my previous experiences in detail and a few behavioral interview questions. The manager was thorough in describing the position and what they expected from the person in it. I loved the manager's energy and transparency, and I received a call with an offer within 3 days.
