Contacted a few months ago by MasTec for a similar position, but was given the wrong contact information from recruiter. Information was left on voicemail and was unable to contact her back. Two months passed and received another phone call from same recruiter. Again - wrong number. The area code she gave me was a non working one. I went to MasTec's website and submitted an inquiry to their HR department. The following day she called me. We discussed the position and why I was interested in leaving my current position. She seemed impressed and set up and interview at the Nashville location the following day. The interview was pretty standard. I met with two employees and was asked pretty basic questions regarding the position. We also discussed thoughts on their largest customer because I previously have worked with the same customer. The interview was pretty thorough, but also less than 30 mins. They wanted to know if I worked with Oracle (which I haven't) and what my skill level with Excel (which is intermediate but not quite advanced). I was asked if I did receive the offer, when would I be able to start. Shook hands and left. Received a call two days later with a verbal offer. Received the written offer 2 business days later. Very quick process! The hardest part was getting in touch with the recruiter. But in her defense - they moved offices and received new numbers with different areas codes. It could happen to anyone!
