The office manager aggressively persuaded me to consider a different job than the one I applied for. I applied for strictly recruiting, but he wanted me to interview for the office manager role. Then, he used profanity during the first interview to mock one of his previous clients for the staffing agency. He even dropped a few f-words. When I asked him for a written job description, he diverted away from directly answering the question by offering a shadowing session during the following Tuesday. In other words, he did not have a written job description.
The manager then showed enthusiasm and confidence in me to the point of offering a phone call screening by the end of the week. That call never occurred. He then replied during the following week via email stating that he was interviewing more candidates before making a decision. A week later, I followed up with him asking for an update. He stated that a phone screening would be scheduled as he said previously, but that call also never occurred. Today, he emailed me stating that he offered the role to someone else because of bilingual preferences.
I strongly recommend avoiding job postings for his office. His behavior was unprofessional, rude, and lacked credibility. The entire process was designed around his needs and wants with little regard to the values of the interviewee.
