I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard in Sep 2023
Interview
Applied and received a email stating to set up a interview time. Had my first interview which I think went well. A few days later I received another email to schedule a 2nd interview and did so a couple hours after receiving the email. A few days later I get a email saying my interview was cancelled for no apparent reason. I followed up to inquire why with multiple people and did not get a response which I felt was a bit rude and unprofessional for a company of this stature.

Question 1
Why do you want to work for Mastercard? Tell me about a time you had to troubleshoot something without actually seeing it?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard (Dublin, Dublin) in Oct 2020
Interview
30 min Skype interview straight away, without telephone screening. Interview flow was somewhat OK, didn't get a chance to emphasize all of my skills and experience, was interrupted by interviewer. It looked like the interviewer was in a hurry to end it in exactly 30 min. Didn't want to switch on the video, although I did. I got a generic rejection email tomorrow, that they are sorry in late respond (less the 24hr after interview), and they "after much consideration", decided that another candidate more closely matches the profile. I understand that there are better candidates then me, and they maybe emphasized their skills, knowledge and experience better but I didn't get impression they considered me much, neither that I ever had a chance before interview even begun. Overall process make me glad that I got the chance to practice for another interview, and somewhat glad that I didn't get the role because the company shows no interest in my 18 years of relevant experience don't deserve me. They are probably looking for someone who will bow down to their corporate masters!
