I was emailed to come in for an interview for Mastery Charter School for the Front Desk Manager and I accepted. The day of my interview, I went in 10 minutes early and introduced myself to the front desk. I was welcomed by a friendly staff and was told that Michele would be out shortly. Meanwhile waiting "20 minutes" after my appointment time, Michele came out and greeted me and we started to walk down the hallway. Thinking I was going to be interviewed by her, it was the farthest thing from what I thought. I was led into a room with about 10 people around a conference table with their laptops open staring at me as I walked in the door. Well I was surprised and caught off guard. I felt that I should have been given some type of warning that this interview was going to take place the way it did. You'd think that they were interviewing me for a Vice President position. I was very disappointed in the outcome because I was not prepared and felt anxious. I mean not every intelligent person is comfortable when being interviewed by a panel of people. It should be made aware to the person being interviewed. And I feel that they rated my intelligence by that interview. I was not even called or emailed to tell me that I was accepted or NOT. I feel that Mastery was unprofessional and in that whole interview process from beginning to end.
