Interview
I applied through University Career Fair and then online. After the first week I got an HR phone interview:
Questions asked :
1. describe yourself
2. how your background makes you a suitable candidate
3. visa status, date of graduation
4. what languages you are comfortable in
5. what do you know about the role
6 why mathworks
7. in future what would you would like to woek on ...eg internal tools/ matlab/ etc.
After this I got a email to give the Hackerrank test within 7 days
I selected Java and Python out of 5 languages and maths section is important.
Maths (5 - 6qns):(15-20 mins)
1. flipping cards probability
2. ant collission probability
3. no of matches in knockout tournament
4. going from one street to another, max probability of dropping a packet in between
JAVA (30 mins):

1. stack paranthesis balancing
2. some recursion problem
MCQs
1. on synchronized block , efficiency of two functions

There were three phases for recruiting procedures. The first stage was a brief and relaxing conversation, the second stage was about technical things and hiring manager asked several questions in the third stage.

Asked me to write a prototype for a simple algorithm in any programming language
1) HR interview : discussion about candidate profile (studies, former experiences, hobbies and expectations) and presentation of the company. 2) Technical interview: questions about MATLAB and control design automation. Choose among 3 topic : Maths/Deployment/Control Automation 3) manager interview
