      Test Framework Engineer Interview

      Nov 17, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Natick, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MathWorks (Natick, MA) in Nov 2018

      Interview

I applied online. This was my fourth time interview with Mathworks. I thought to gave it chance as I directly got a call for a technical interview with an American guy who was a Sr. Software Engineer. He asked relevant, open ended, no bogus theoretical questions. It was a pleasant experience. I explained my experiences giving examples. It went absolutely great. I was moved to next round. Then comes the real problem. My next telephonic interview was setup with an Indian/Desi lady. It asked me have a converstation about my background. But it ended up bombarding me with bogus theoretical questions. For her the interview was about showing how smart she is and what she wants to hear rather than interest in my skillset and where I can be helpful. For Desi interviewers if you don't say those exact words what they want to hear then you are out. After 2 days, I see status changed to match not ideal this time. I was not surprised. This was my fourth time interview with Mathworks and every time some Desi person interviewed me which whom I had terrible experiences. It seems like Mathworks have now become a place full of uncreative Desi tech engineers. I also noticed similar reviews from other people sharing same experiences, it seems not so cool place to work anymore. Not worthy!
