I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at MathWorks (Bengaluru) in May 2019
Interview
The interview process is very long.
I applied through Mathworks career website. Before the F2F interview, I had 2 technical rounds one telephone and another webex and 2 Managerial rounds - 1 US and One Indian manager.
After this I was asked to prepare the PPT. I was very satisfied with the way the final PPT turned out. You have to prepare the PPT along with sone inputs from hiring manager.
For F2F interview, I had total 5 rounds and 1 PPT presentation.
Managerial interview questions will be based on your experiences and scenarios which you had faced in previous jobs.
Prepare well for the technical interview.
I am not sure of the reason I was rejected, may be the technical round I could have done better. But overall I gave my best and was honest with my work experience.
Regarding the travel reimbursement, there were commitments made by the HR that the entire travel was reimbursible. He told this before the F2F interview as well as after the F2F interview.
I had come from a different town and only flight tickets were booked and they told travel will be reimbursible upon submission of bills.
Before the interviews, there used to be an immediate reply from the HR regarding interview availability followups and replies. But for the travel reimbursement when I write to the HR and followed up 5 times, he does not even have the etiquette of replying back.
For a reputed company such as Mathworks, I think it is ridiculous on their part to make the reimbursement commitments and then break them completely.
When you expect your candidates to be honest with you and if they really were honest , you should also be honest with them.
