I was contacted over email the day after I submitted my online application to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview is very casual/stress-free and involves gauging your fit for the job (in terms of interests and experience) and telling you more about the position. After the phone interview, there’s an on-site interview that lasts about 4 hours. I had the opportunity to meet with folks across various levels in the unit I applied for in Washington, D.C. In total, the on-site interview day consisted of three two-person interviews, lunch with two associates, and a one-on-one interview with an HR manager. The entire process was incredibly stress-free and very enjoyable! Everyone I met with was friendly and there were no “gotcha”/trick questions at any point. About a week after the on-site interview, I was contacted over phone to go over the interview outcome. This was the best interview experience I’ve ever had to date. I really enjoyed getting to meet a great group of people while learning more about the company culture/values and ongoing projects. The on-site interview is nothing to stress over and it’s really a great opportunity to determine fit. Just make sure to come prepared with good questions and be ready to meet with a lot of different people.
