      Policy Analyst Interview

      Mar 19, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Washington, DC
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Mathematica (Washington, DC) in Feb 2020

      Interview

Did initial phone screen for about an hour, next spoke with HR about salary and possible job location, finally was brought in for a 5 hour interview with multiple people. Interview process was straight forward. The questions weren't you typical boring interview questions. Asked a lot about your interest and potential projects you would like to work on. The in-person interview was a little unnecessary in my opinion, especially since everyone was via video and no one was there in person. They offered me the job but salary was too low and benefits weren't that great.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Mathematica (Boston, MA) in Apr 2019

      Interview

I applied in late March and received an inquiry to schedule a phone screen a week after. The phone screen was held shortly after. I was invited for an in-person interview, which did not take place until about 4 weeks later (early May). The interview was all day the office, meeting two people (in person and via video) for 5 hours- they provide you lunch! They did a reference check and an offer was extended two weeks later.
