      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Mathematica

      Interview

Very straightforward. You are able to meet with future colleagues, potential team members and supervisors. It's a very smooth process and a great opportunity to get all of your questions answered. It felt less like your typical "interrogation-style" interview and more like a conversation/get to know me process.

      Interview

Multi-round interview process that started with a screening phone call and a conversation with the hiring manager, and then ended with a half-day of interviews. The interviews were engaging conversations with different team members.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Mathematica

      Interview

My interview process from application to offer took about two and a half months. After applying online, I took an online assessment for my position, then was scheduled for a phone interview, and finally was scheduled for a full day interview (would have normally been in-person, but due to the pandemic was via video conference). I felt like the team that interviewed me was carefully selected based on my interests and position. Everyone that I spoke to was extremely thoughtful and friendly. The recruitment manager that I worked with also kept me in the loop during a few delays in my hiring process which I felt was very kind and helped keep my nerves at bay while waiting to hear.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Most questions were regarding my experience in my Master's program (e.g. quantitative skills I developed through classes, specific questions about the methodology of my thesis) as well as my previous work experience.
