I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mathematica (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
I had a phone interview with two researchers. They were friendly and asked easy questions, and explained a lot about the structure and functioning of Mathematica. They said I would hear back in 1-2 weeks about an in person interview (it's been 1 week and I'm still waiting). The woman from HR who set up the interview sent me quite a lot of information about what sort of questions to anticipate, and nothing they ended up asking me was unexpected.

Interview
Easy + informative, appreciated the communication and it was interesting to hear more about the work they do. interesting work, but ultimately not the right research fit for me-- which is the only reason I declined this offer

First interview with HR over the phone,
Second Interview with supervisor over Zoom,
Then Written Exercise,
Lastly, a Panel Interview with several people from the team which lasted long hours.
Several month since I submitted my application. Overall the process went well and the company was transparent enough.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Mathematica in Apr 2022
Interview
First step is an HR phone screening followed by a 30-45 minute call with a Senior Researcher. The last step is a video chat with several senior members as well as somebody with the same position. Everyone was super friendly and the interviews felt very straightforward. They were interested in what I had done and I felt myself almost relaxed by the end of the interviews.
