I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Matic in Mar 2021
Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter to interview for the team. The recruiter was great throughout the process.
For the interview process, first I I did a coding challenge which took a few hours. After passing that, I did a Zoom interview with the CEO. He was 15 minutes late for a 45 minute interview, and jumped straight into asking me technical questions on algebra, probability, and coding. Meanwhile people ate lunch, talked and laughed in the background which was pretty distracting. There was nearly no time left to discuss anything after the technical questions. I was told I did not pass after this interview. Overall, the interview felt unprofessional.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Matic in Jul 2025
Interview
They were all very friendly. Had 5 interviews with 5 different people. Take home task is covered by an NDA but it was a problem that can be optimized in many levels, reminded me of MIT 6.172. There were two coderpad rounds, three white board interviews.
