Interview
A member of the Talent team reached out to me via email after I submitted my resume on the company website. 30 minute phone interview with hiring manager, then 45 minute follow up video interview with same hiring manager. I was not chosen for the role, but they did reach out to let me know that they moved forward with another candidate so I appreciated not being ghosted.

Management scenarios, general questions about my background and experience
I was approached by this company on LinkedIn. I went forward with the interview process and it went well. They advised me that I was over qualified for the role they had in mind and wanted to know if I was interested in another role. On my 4th interview with leadership he didn’t even look at the camera. He wasn’t listening to anything I was saying and clearly was focused on something else. He mentioned how he wore many hats and made it seem like my time wasn’t a priority. After having 7 interviews, completing a 3 part case study and months of waiting I did not get offered the role because salary expectations were not aligned. Expectations were set since the original LinkedIn outreach. This was a waste of time.

Question 1
Part 1: Care Advocates’ primary role is to connect with members via introductory appointment, orient them to our platform, and help them navigate our wide range of resources. An exciting, growing part of our role is to provide care management, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to help members achieve their specific family planning goals with the ultimate aim of positively impacting clinical outcomes.
Please consider how you’d approach the scenario questions below using motivational interviewing techniques:
1. Assume you meet with a first-time pregnant member who is in their first trimester. What questions would you ask to learn about their goals during an appointment?
2. If they share that their top goal is to maintain healthy eating habits while dealing with food aversions and nausea, what recommendations might you make during the appointment? [Note: Maven offers resources in a variety of forms like video appointments with providers, group classes, articles, etc. It’s okay if you can’t name specific resources, but please note all your considerations when making recommendations for this member!]
3. Two weeks after the introductory session takes place you notice that the member has not taken any actions towards the goals you both discussed. How might you check in with the member via message and encourage them to take a particular action?

Interview
Nice team of people but their follow up could be better. Interview was average meet with a Manager, then a director, then a team of directors and managers in the advocacy department. Final interview with head of people. That seems extensive to decide to go with another candidate. Tips for the company provide salary transparency range and inform the interviewee of a decision sooner. Overall disappointing experience, I had to reach out to the recruiter twice times to get a response after interviewing for nearly 5 weeks.
