The process consisted of: phone screens, chat with a recruiter, on-site with another recruiter and the head of people. Honestly, most of the chats were pleasant, but comms were all over. It took a lot of time getting back to me about any updates, and I had to reach out first to hear back about next steps even though I told them I had an expiring offer multiple times. One chat that stood out to me was the initial screen. It was only 7 minutes, and they only asked me a few questions and hung up with no notice about a shorter call. I was shocked to hear I moved forward to the next steps. I understand that people’s schedule/bandwidth could be tight, but not leaving any space for me to ask questions was astounding (especially if I took a full 30 min out for this call). One additional note - multiple people told me how short-staffed the team was. One person even said they’re excited to hire because that means they get to actually take PTO. I thought this was strange to share, but I appreciated the transparency.
