Interview
Overall, there was poor communication and disrespect for the candidate’s time. After going through the full interview process, I received an email stating they decided not to hire for the role and are re-evaluating their needs. At first, the recruiter said the process would take 2 weeks. Instead, the process took 6 weeks which included 1. recruiter screen 2. hiring manager interview 3. VP interview 4. case study (they said to spend <90 minutes on it, which felt delusional since on the job it probably would have been a month’s long project) and 5. virtual on-site with 3 additional interviews. At each stage, they never clearly articulated the next step, so it felt like they were making it up as they went. In the end, they hired no one. The experience was particularly disappointing because it fell short of their human-centered values.

The recruiter and hiring manager were very friendly and informative. I could tell they really believed in the mission. Although I had a positive experience speaking with them, the overall experience left me feeling disappointed. I was told the interview process would consist of the following: 1. Recruiter screen 2. Hiring Manager 3. 2 Team members 4. Case Study 5. Executive By the time I got to schedule with the hiring manager. the job posting was deleted which was odd. Usually posts are up until the role has been filled, so I thought I'd be getting a rejection soon. I did get to speak with the hiring manager and a couple weeks later was told the role has been updated and I was no longer candidate. I had been following Maven Clinic for a while and was so excited when an opportunity opened up that fit my background, but I was left feeling disappointed and confused.
