I recently interviewed for the Analyst, Configuration & QA role at Maven Clinic. The interview process itself was well-organized, and the hiring manager and team were professional and engaged. However, after completing multiple rounds, I was told the Analyst role had been filled internally and that I was instead considered against the Senior Analyst role requirements, which require much more experience. As a candidate with 3+ years in configuration and QA, I felt this was unfair — I had applied for the Analyst role and was evaluated for a different level only after investing significant time in the process. While I respect Maven’s mission and the professionalism of the interviewers, I hope the company can improve transparency in its hiring process, especially when roles are already likely to be filled internally.
