I wasn't really asked questions. She just looked over my application and said that she liked that I have foodservice and managerial experience. She told me she'd like to hire me and asked when I could start. She told me that I would definitely be able to be given 30 to 35 hours per week, working a shift of 10am-4pm or 11am-5pm each day that I worked, and that it should be no problem. On my first day she told me that there was no way I'd get more than 20 hours per week with that kind of shift, and the only way to get 30 plus hours per week was to agree to be the full time opener, since the one they had on staff at the time had just put in a 2 weeks' notice. I would not mind being an opener, but I felt that the overall practice of telling me during the interview that I could have the hours and schedule she promised and then reneging on it on my first day was very dishonest and unprofessional. So beware, you may be told things that aren't actually true to hook you into the job.
