I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at McAlister's (Las Cruces, NM) in Mar 2014
Interview
I applied in December 2013 and was hired March 2014. This was a great, easy, fast interview. They called me at 11:00 in the morning and asked me to interview at 3:00. I came in and they sent one of the assistant managers out to start my interview. They asked me to describe myself first and went on to ask me about previous job experience and what I liked about working at that place. After the first interview, they immediately sent out another assistant manager for a second interview on the spot. She asked me how I manage conflict (this seemed like a really important question to them since it was the positive turning point of my interview). After a few simple questions, they hired me on the spot and were very flexible with my hours since I'm a full-time college student.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would your previous employee say about you as a worker and person?
The interview process was easy and casual. The manager was friendly and just asked a few questions about my availability, why I wanted to work there, and how I handle customers. It felt more like a conversation than a formal interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at McAlister's (Topeka, KS) in Feb 2023
Interview
it was a fairly short process, only taking a few days to hear back after applying and then got hired on the spot. the interview was somewhat informal. not too intimidating and everyone was friendly. overall great process!

basic interview questions. strengths/weaknesses, why you are good for the job, etc.
Super easy & quick. Nice people and could tell it'd be a good place to work. Unfortunately I actually good food poisoning from there so didn't want to work there.
